Some After-Hours Stuff
Like I said, I just love making things—here's a sampling of personal projects including photography, band merch and artwork, and product concepts from my pandemic-hobby guitar pedal company. I dig all things gritty, moody, and abstract, because I'm a designer in the PNW and of course I do. 🙂
Dreary Sound • Product Concepts
During the pandemic, I built custom guitar effects pedals for customers and friends, then designed a handful of my own prototype circuits, working with illustrations from old storybooks and textbooks to create art concepts.
Not content with handmade prototype circuit boards, I also learned to use Autodesk Eagle to design my own printed circuit boards, then had them manufactured to create a higher-quality and more reliable product.
Birds With Arms • Show Flyers
Flyer concepts for a local show. Given carte blanche, I love leaning into old public-domain imagery that evokes nostalgia, wonder, or a little bit of absurdity.
Birds With Arms • Single Artwork
Single artwork for my band, Birds With Arms. Had a bit too much fun gutting an old cassette tape, then shot a series that could be used across a series of future singles.
Caroline Guitar Co. • Product Photography
Supplemental product photos for my short-form demo of Caroline's limited-edition Arigato phaser.
